![]() All right, all right- the album is by Bikini Kill.
"Bikini Kill was an American punk band formed in Olympia, Washington in October of 1990. The group is widely considered to be the pioneer of the riot grrrl movement, and was well known and notorious for its radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Their music was characteristically abrasive and hardcore punk-influenced." -Wiki The album is Reject All American. ![]() Enjoy, and tell us what you think. Concerning Bikini Kill: I was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a cacophony. It was digestable on first listen, which is a compliment since I usually don't like the hardcore. Her voice is abrasive in a good way, though the way she yells things makes understanding the lyrics tougher. So it all kind of blended into one big yelp. The problem with this sort of music is that it all feels very samey.

Sorta off-topic but...she might only be the second hottest female punk lead though. She'll never rival Brody of The Distillers for hottest sounding punk chick...her voice just isn't gravely enough. See for yourself: (Feminists should NOT read the Youtube comments. 0_0) |
