The album is Reject All American.

Enjoy, and tell us what you think.

i'll reserve judgment until after i finish it but in all honesty i'd rather listen to something more accessible, like say, Metal Machine Music.

Yeah I hear you. Good call on Metal Machine Music, I literally just burned that to a CD within the last hour, along with Rock 'N' Roll Animal.

That's what I do. Notice my join date and my post count. When I'm on, I consistently post.

Concerning Bikini Kill:

I was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a cacophony. It was digestable on first listen, which is a compliment since I usually don't like the hardcore. Her voice is abrasive in a good way, though the way she yells things makes understanding the lyrics tougher. So it all kind of blended into one big yelp.

The problem with this sort of music is that it all feels very samey.

I definitely agree with the bolded part. I think she sounds good...maybe even cute? (Would they be pissed if they read that?) Punk girls are just hot sometimes...

Sorta off-topic but...she might only be the second hottest female punk lead though. She'll never rival Brody of The Distillers for hottest sounding punk chick...her voice just isn't gravely enough. See for yourself:

This week's album is This Is War by 30 Seconds to Mars

Interesting fact:

According to an interview from Virgin Records,

"[The band's name] actually comes from a thesis that the band found online that was written by a former Harvard professor. And one of the subsections of the thesis was titled 'thirty seconds to mars [sic]' and he goes on to talk about the exponential growth of technology that relates to humans and saying that we are quite literally thirty seconds to mars. What it means to us is, we thought it best described our music, in short." ~From Wikipedia
P.S. Please begin submitting your albums now. Hopefully we can start the next album more quickly. [= Thank you.
