That's true.
I think with this album, I liked the whole "epic" feel, as dieselboy worded it.
I liked that every song feels powerful.

The big crowd of people singing was a definite turn off for me.
We know he can sing, I didn't find any reason to ask a million other people to help him with it.

Loud/quiet parts sometimes with some synth sometimes with some guitar building up to a big loud "emotional" part where a lot of people sing at once. Getting more singers in on the action does not make something more emotional in my opinion. It just shows how you don't know how to evoke emotion in a song by yourself.

On first listen, I actually thought the crowd in some of the songs was pretty cool. The first song (which I STILL think was epic ), was great because it started off with him singing softly and then building up and exploding into a big chorus of voices.

I have to admit too though, that I'm feeling like a massive noob here. It seems everyone is already familiar with this group and singer except me when I'm reading all this.

You can post in your journal, too. But here is where we all discuss and suh.

I thought the first time with all of the voices was fine, I really enjoyed it.
The rest of the time was too much for me.
I just wanted the voices to go away. =P

@sidewinder: You don't think that'll be too much?
It'll be one every week! That's a lot of new threads.

Yeah maybe. The other forum I did this one was less active, so new threads were good. Here, with this place being more active, they may get in the way of other general music threads.

However, the Music Club could be put in the Album Reviews forum...just a thought.

Here's another thought...maybe I should just shut up since I haven't even participated in the submission or reviews yet.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Any ideas are openly welcome, don't worry, if there's a better way, we'd love to know it.
I'll ask a mod and Melissa about the album reviews idea. Either way I can see a positive, so I'll ask.
