The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
Let's be honest, I was unbelieveably nervous to review this album.
Almost halfway through the album, I wasn't sure how I felt about the band. or about this album at all.
I didn't have any strong feelings either way.
I didn't dislike what I was hearing though, I knew that much.

After "What Is The Light," I feel the album takes a turn for the better, it was when I decided I wanted to hear more, I even began restarting some of the songs so that I could hear them again.

I think my favourite part about this album, especially "Waitin' For A Superman" is the shared spotlight between percussion and vocals.
None of the instruments are too loud or too overwhelming. The harmony is quiet, the chime hits are well spread out.

"The Gash" wasn't one of my favourites with the choir and everything.
There's a really low bass who's not fitting in with all of the other vocals.

After that, it follows the "turn for the better" that I was talking about before. I love the beginning of "Sleeping on the Roof"
Scratch that. I love ALL of "Sleeping on the Roof"

Conclusion: As I said before, I was nervous before I listen to this album. I was nervous about what I would think, I was nervous about what all of you would think.
I'm glad that so many people recommended this to me.
