Yeah, this was the album I was going to point out. Is someone in Husker Du ***? I don't have the slightest idea why this is on the list. Same with Candy Apple Grey. And even more so, why the hell is Nevermind on this list? I haven't the slightest idea how you could consider Nevermind to be a *** album. I can understand the David Bowie, in a way... but Nirvana?

Because if you read their methodology, they basically just asked a bunch of high profile, out *** people to name the ten albums that most influenced their lives.

It also is problematic that they don't give us any write ups for most of the albums, and we're just left to guess as to why say Tapestry is ***er than Bryter Layter.

both Bob Mould and Grant Hart were homosexual, though never romantically involved with each other. and then bassist Greg Norton had a handlebar moustache.

the point being their sexuality was never obvious (let alone expressed) through their music.

I think they included Nirvana because Kobain was fairly vocal about his anti-homophobic attitude, plus, he was fond of challenging gender stereotypes by wearing dresses etc. He and Novoselic even kissed on some show I believe...

Anyhow, I have no idea what the criteria for this list was or what would actually constitute "gay music", music made for or by gays, listened to by gay people, all of the above? I guess that's why it's so diverse (or lacking apparent cohesion).
