both Bob Mould and Grant Hart were homosexual, though never romantically involved with each other. and then bassist Greg Norton had a handlebar moustache.

the point being their sexuality was never obvious (let alone expressed) through their music.

I think they included Nirvana because Kobain was fairly vocal about his anti-homophobic attitude, plus, he was fond of challenging gender stereotypes by wearing dresses etc. He and Novoselic even kissed on some show I believe...

Anyhow, I have no idea what the criteria for this list was or what would actually constitute "gay music", music made for or by gays, listened to by gay people, all of the above? I guess that's why it's so diverse (or lacking apparent cohesion).

I know this isn't how you meant it, but when the sexuality isn't obvious, thats also a criteria. I think any time gender becomes blurred to a degree, it is generally seen as moer *** friendly if only for the logic that it doesn't set guidelines which are generally offputting. (see The Daily Workers use of the word "humyn")

Damn... I liked a good bit of those albums... time for some self-realization with a side of epiphanies to go.

This list is ridiculous,as it dosn't explain how most of them are "***", and I'm sure the musicians involved would rather their music be judged on it's own terms, with sexuality not brought into it.

If this list is supposed to be based on music that the *** community listens to, then I disagree. A lot of *** people have different taste in music, the fact that they're *** doesn't nessecarily define the music they listen to.
For example, I can't stand The Indigo Girls or Melissa Etheridge.
But what I am most confused on is how Nirvanna's Nevermind could be considered "***"?

Damn... I used to have a gay roommate, I wish he was here so I could ask him how accurate that list is.
