If i have a song i downloaded from itunes, can i upload it to my site. Now i've seen it done before, does anyone know how i can do it legally. Do i just have to give credit, or what, does anyone know, thanks.

No. You have to request permission from the copyright holder to use it for anything other than listening or other personal uses (a "personal" site doesn't count...it's on the web for everyone to see).

It's perfectly legal if you write a disclaimer saying that you're friends of the band.

Like as background music? Pretty sure you can probably have to give credit to artist and song maybe additional info though.

A common misconception with youths of today. You are not allowed to use someone else's copywritten music without expressed permission.

if it's a mainstream song, they'll probably try to sue you for thousands of dollars, if it's not probably not a big deal

well, it's a church song, like something religious. It's not mainstream, so how do i go about getting permission.
