Karnivool - Sound Awake

1./ Simple Boy
2./ Goliath
3./ New Day
4./ Set To The Hive
5./ Umbra
6./ All I Know
7./ The Medicine Wears Off
8./ The Caudal Lure
9./ Illumine
10./ Deadman
11./ Change

This is an amazing followup to Karnivools debut album 'Themata'. The band has matured and become much more comfortable in what they want to achieve with 'Sound Awake'. I'd recommend this album to any Tool fan, not that Karnivool are too familiar with them, it's just that Karnivool have the same feel. This album also shows that Aussies can pull off some mighty fine Prog. as well, hopefully. ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS (though the whole album is fantastic, start to finish): 'New Day', 'Set Fire To The Hive', 'All I Know' and 'Deadman'

Would it be up my street?

Judging from your last.fm and your posts I've seen, I severely doubt you'd hate it. Care for a link?

Hell yes. I don't know if I posted this but this would definitely be my favourite album of 2009. It's mind-blowing, I love Karnivool and can't believe how far they have come from being such a small-time local act.

Although I can't say I'm much of a fan of Set Fire to the Hive (song), my highlights of the album would be Deadman, Goliath, and Change. I can't believe you didn't bring up the latter two! Amazing.

haha I could go on saying the whole album is a highlight, I should've put the other two. I don't know why I like Set Fire To The Hive but I do...

I probably need to check out Karnivool. They remind me of Fair To Midland.
