I had such high hopes for this album but something just didn't click with me. I'm not sure what it was, because this was a recommendation from the man who introduced me to The Standard, which I think is the best indie rock band to ever grace my ears. Oh well, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess.
Takes a few listens, it is a bit difficult to get used to.

The first album Felt Mountain is such a joy, blending heartfelt soul vocals with original electro, but this is a world away. They've done some great pop tunes on all their albums but this is just dire, really flat songs which go nowhere. Deleted it straight away which is disappointing.

Very disappointing. I guess psychedelic rock isn't my thing, but this just sounds like a watered-down, immature imitation of Thom Yorke's work.

Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip - The Logic of Chance (2010)

I have to say I'm very disappointed by their sophomore release. I defied harsh critics of their first album, but sadly I'm forced to agree with the same people on this release because it is just not very good. There's two REALLY good songs on it, but everything else is either mediocre or just plain crap.

Bob Dylan - Self Portrait

Meh. One or two really good songs, but otherwise just a really unimpressive album, and far too long as well. Judging from what I'd read about it before, I guess I shouldn't be so surprised.

Having never heard of this band or really much of this kind of music I downloaded it based off of the overwhelmingly positive feedback it was getting from literally everyone.

Bloody hell it's boring. It's so dull. It drags on and on and on in such a morbid way it's like torture. The worst part is? I can't even call it bad, because it really isn't as shi‎t as "bad" music is, it just puts me to sleep. I'm almost convinced that if I give it another listen sometime it may sound better, but I'm not up for that right now.

But those are awesome..

yeah Tin Machine is pretty bad. Not as horrifyingly awful as people like to say, but definitely not up to par.

though Diamond Dogs is alright.

I always thought this was an OK album, but listening to it today it struck me that it's boring derivative rubbish and virtually all the songs sound the same.

Plus that's a terrible self-portrait.

That as well.

A Fine Frenzy - Bomb In a Birdcage

I watched paint dry once and it made more interesting music than this.
