I would have sex with Carly Rae Jepsen? I mean, yeah, but why the **** would I have I assumed that's what you meant? And what on earth does it have to do with anything?

You seriously don't use the phrase, when taken in the context of being under a picture of a pretty woman, "You would, wouldn't you?" to mean you would do her? Man, I thought you Americans were all over this stuff. Yes, that's what I meant. And why does it have anything to do with anything? You're telling me that you wouldn't say, if I presented the opinion I was not into, say, Kesha, and you said "Ah but you wouldn't wouldn't you" and think it was relevant in a perv way?

I think you're just trolling me as usual. Go on back to whatever it was you were doing.

I have never heard anyone put it that way. It didn't even read like a sexual comment. It just looked completely out of context for anything. Clearly a British thing.

No. I'd make fun of you for being a musical retard. Not wanting to bone a female artist I like doesn't make me think about whether or not you still think they are sexually appealing. Call me evolved for once, I guess.

I legitimately am not. You're just dumb.

I don't think the world is ready for that.

I liked her at first, and was excited to listen to more, but I just never ended up doing that. And I never knew why.

BUT NOW!!! I think I've got it. The schticky, 80s sound pallette on EMOTION is bland and lifeless. The production is partly to blame. It's clearly meant to evoke some kind of flashy, slick, plastic, 80s nightlife vibe, but ends up just feeling kinda sparkly, too plasticky, and distant. Even Carly's squeaky vocals just add to this. It's like the whole album is laminated to prevent you connecting with it.

So there. I don't give a **** about Carly Rae Jepsen and you people are idiots.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. I remember when blankmind dissed this album in his journal and everyone was jumping in trying to defend it. I tried giving it a listen and it was close to the worst thing I'd ever heard (and I do listen to some pop). Utterly generic songs with vocals so over produced you wonder if there is actually a human behind all that compression and limiting. To be fair I only got through half the album but I'd honestly rather dig out my own spleen with a blunt spoon than listen to it all the way through.

Yeah, I definitely don't feel that way that hard. Some songs are legit pop gold, but much of it is just okay. I'm just indifferent.

Yeah, I did it in Love or Hate? and thought it was okay but I've never felt the slightest compulsion to listen to it, or any of her other material, since. Meh.
