I have no idea what that album is, but reading your description almost made me choke on my milk. ><

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
I downloaded that too and it's just not my thing. I'm still trying to figure out my music tastes but they don't make any sense. I'm listening to some gorgeous Progressive House.. kind of in the mood for some smooth jazz.. but may end up listening to ...'s Somebody Save Me E.P. which is Depressive Black Metal. I wonder if I have musical bipolar disorder

Vampire Weekend-Contra.I'm sick of hearing so much of it against my will.
Also not impressed by Beach House's Teen Dream.

Contra is good but not a classic by any means. But how could you not be impressed by Teen Dream?

I'm not too impressed by Los Campesinos! - Romance Is Boring. It just sounds too much like their other stuff. Eels - End Times isn't too good neither..

Autechre - Quaristice.Quadrange.ep.ae

This is the most boring and pointless Autechre release I've ever heard. Luckily it's not an official LP, but a download-only EP. It should have never been put out, IMO, completely unnecessary. Especially considering the Quaristice limited edition already came with a bonus CD of reworked songs from the proper album...expanding on 11 of the 20 tracks from the proper album that were all pretty short. That is worth getting your hands on. This? Just pointless...especially the last track which is basically the same 5 seconds repeating for nearly an hour.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Richard Ashcroft - Alone With Everybody

Tried to give this one a fair chance again, seeing as it's been hanging around my music collection for a few years now with no real purpose. Just as before, I struggled through about 4 or 5 tracks before turning it off out of sheer boredom. It's far too long, tries a bit too hard for my liking to be anthemic and bombastic and, the excellent Song For the Lovers aside, it's all very uninteresting.

Anyone who's thinking about giving this a go, just listen to this song and don't bother with the album...

contrary to my post in the "Albums You're Digging" thread....

in general it was overblown and too drawn out for me. imo, these guys do much better with quick, crazy bursts of creativity than trying to cater to an "Epic" kind of sound

after the 5th track i switched to their other album On The Land and Sea
