Definitely do not agree. I reach for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath almost as much as any of their other albums.

Agreed. A National Acrobat is one of my fave Sabbath tunes.

It has me a little worried if Ghost's new album is going to be a similar experience.

Maybe with time I'll learn to appreciate it, but I think I'm just going to shelf this one for a little while and bring it out when the new releases dry up.
Ghost's new album is like watching paint dry, sorry

I saw Ghost live a few weeks back and I absolutely hated them. In fact I was embarrassed to call myself a Metal fan that night.

Lordi and Gwar are positively sophisticated live compared to Ghost. At least they are tongue in cheek.

Sorry Pete!

That's a shame, I saw Ghost last year with Opeth and Mastadon and I thought they put on the best performance out of the three. I do think they've gotten a little too full of themselves, I mean there's a a dildo shaped in the likeness of the Cardinal ffs.

I like the Album Leaf. I kind of like Sun Kil Moon. A collaboration sounded like it could be a good thing. Talk about a yawn fest. I fell asleep twice...and I had pounded a Monster right before I stuck it on. There was a song where he literally listed every kind of hotel he ever stayed in. I don't mean like a description of ****ty hotels. I mean he listed off the Double Tree, the Marriott, the Holiday Inn, etc. Yep.

Look on the bright side, at least you know what hotels to stay at in case you go to any state he's been too.

The Handsome Family - Wilderness (2013)

I remember why I don't listen to these guys an awful lot, they're pretty boring. Why Last.fm lists Slim Cessna's Auto Club as a similar artist is beyond me, but yeah... if you are in desperate need of a nap this album may be up your alley.

Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport (2009)
Ehh I don't know about this. I never took interest in the band for whatever reason, despite all the hype. Maybe I avoided it because of the hype. Maybe I heard some samples and didn't care for what I heard. But an online friend offered to send me their latest, but after telling him I hadn't listened to the band at all he suggested this one. Well here we go: I like a lot of electronic music but there's something about this I don't like. It's very repetitive and often too high-energy in its repetition. It's also a bit droney in parts and I'm not too into that. They have this "rock band" energy that I don't dig in electronic acts, kind of like the little I've heard from Ratatat. They're just a bit grating to me, just trying to make a lot of noise (without being noise). There are interesting bits here, sure it's well done, I just didn't get much enjoyment out of it. I feel like they were just trying to hurt my ears.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
