Not yet, but I haven't written it off either. I'll get to it eventually this year.

I think Neko's solo stuff is probs better than Newman and Bejar though...as much as I love Bejar.

I was promised some fucked up garage rock dripping with attitude and a side order of kookiness. Instead I get an album that sounds like Dusty Springfield lost in the mid west on a karaoke machine. Sounds awesome but in reality a drunken night is only listenable if you were there at the time

They opened for Man Man last week but I got to the venue while Man Man was setting up. So I've never heard Shilpa Ray.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I'm trying really hard to get into this album but it is kind of so-so for me. I was expecting some ground breaking stuff from all the hype I've heard about Tyler, The Creator around these parts.

Default Albums You WISH You Were Digging

Easy concept. You ever buy or download an album, possibly after hearing great things about it, and then listening... and hating it? Or possibly just not liking it?

Some basic rules. These can't just be albums from artists you hate. You must have listened to the whole album, hoping to have liked it, and then not.

First up.

The Buffalo Killers - Let It Ride

Well I'd been hearing really good things about this album from several places, and was fairly excited to listen to it. Downloaded it, popped on my headphones, started the first track... and promptly started listening to a different album. The first song was so dull I couldn't keep going.

Several days later I managed to sit through the first song and listen to the whole album, hoping that the other tracks would make up for it... but they don't. This album is a disappointment. Maybe I just need to listen to it more, but my gosh. What a bummer.

I wish that I dig every album I listen to I suppose, but the reality is I don't dig most albums.
