Lowercase Noises - Marshall
I loved Seafront immensely. It balanced out well between songs that are almost pure Ambient, to really upbeat Post Rock. This one was ALL Ambient and isn't very engaging unfortunately. |

That's disappointing... I would have thought they'd spruce things up a bit for the live experience...

Mogwai Fear Satan in it's original form is sheer freaking artistic genius... I can't see how shortening it would improve it any... ugh, such a bummer...

I take it you're a fan of their second album? I like On Avery Island much more.

Lovesliescrushing - Bloweyelashwish I'm rarely let down by albums but really don't know what's going on here or what to make of this, it sounds like experimentation gone too far. It isn't so much shoegazing as taping your eyeballs to your effects pedals and forgetting to play something resembling music. They sound like they're trying to build on MBV's experimentalism but completely leaving out the songs and melodies. I couldn't even finish this album, it's just pointless and inaccessible. I dunno maybe it will click on the 100th listen.
