See, I went in with no expectations at all and loved it.

Of course, you can't go in expecting amazing instrumentation.

I found it to be a grower, although nowadays I've no desire to ever listen to NMH - think I've overplayed them in all honesty.

See, the problem is you people need to listen to On Avery Island instead!

I'm not kidding.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon

Decided I'll try the album out after reading LoathsomePete's review on it, seeing as the only other Dimmu album I had was In Sorte Diaboli.

The only songs on the album which I seem to enjoy is 'Blood Hunger Doctrine' and 'Unorthodox Manifesto'. The rest seems bland, and a struggle to not hit the 'Next' button.

I agree with Sufjan Stevens, what a boring tosser.

The Shepherd's Dog is the album you should've gone for.

I suppose I'll give it a go later on. Sometimes starting with the debut isn't the best of ideas...

I like it, but Shepherd's Dog is just a much much better album. Although to really feel it - it takes repeated listens. Wonderful album when you 'get it', it took me a good few listens though.
