I wouldn't listen to it often but I think it's an important genre.

4.) What do you usually associate with dance music?

5.) Where do you most often see advertisements for this genre of music?
Internet if any

6.) What makes a music video enjoyable for you?
When it's original, and expresses what the artist wants to express

9.) What are your views of Music and film downloading?
I'm an Anti-Copyright activist and openly admit to downloading.

10.) How do you think music and film downloading has affected the market?
In the music industry, it can further spread an artist's message and statistics have shown it actually increases sales. Film downloading isn't as widely in practice as music downloading, and I personally don't do it much so N/A.

11.) If you wanted the latest CD that has been released, would you download it, or go to the shop and buy it?
If i'm in a record store I'll support the shop and buy it. But seeing as I don't go to record stores that often it's more likely that I'm going to download it.

Hope this helped.

1.) What’s your favourite type of music?

Post-Punk, Jazz, Post-Rock

2.) Which are your favourite Band / Bands?

The Fall, Death, The Clash, Joy Division, The White Stripes, Pink Floyd, Godspeed You! Black Emperor

3.) What is your opinion of the music genre Dance?

Lacks any zip or bite factor.

4.) What do you usually associate with dance music?

Bad music videos, females in swimsuits prancing around

5.) Where do you most often see advertisements for this genre of music?

Television, music stores

6.) What makes a music video enjoyable for you?

The band itself on stage, preferably live, and relating to the actual song. i.e. representing the song graphically

7.) How often do you buy music based magazines?

Never. Except for a local South African metal mag every 2 months.

8.) What characteristics of any advertisement attract you to it?

A new idea, something that jumps off the page at me.

9.) What are your views of Music and film downloading?

Why not? Promote the band, but attempt to support them at every opportunity you get. The more fans and people exposed to a band the better, that is my thought. Film downloading is pretty pointless I think.

10.) How do you think music and film downloading has affected the market?

Thosands of cd's are still sold every single day, bands are sill making money and growing in fan support. A large amount of bands are not stocked in some countries so downloads/internet shopping is the only way of receiving their music.

11.) If you wanted the latest CD that has been released, would you download it, or go to the shop and buy it?

If it was in the shop, buy it, if not, download.
