Rockstar Moments
So in another thread last night I mentioned a concert I was at years ago. At that show people were booing a punk band named Sugarcult, who was for some reason opening up for a bunch of metal bands. Anyway, someone was probably trying to impress his girlfriend or something and threw a shot glass and hit the singer in the face with it, who immediately covered his face with his hands and stumbled off the stage . Only to return 30 seconds later to tell his bandmates, (who were all pretty pissed) to keep f*cking playing. He finished out the set with blood running down his face and luckily didn't get hit with anything else. ><
As I was thinking about that last night, I was thinking to myself..."Damn, that was a pretty rock star thing to do...what a badass." If this woulda happened at a bigger venue or they were a more famous band, that might have been legendary. So I was wondering, I know some of you guys go to a lot of shows. If you were to use the words "rock star" as an adjective (adverb?) for anything an artist did at a show you attended, what jumps to the front of your mind? Just anything they did that was really unexpected, bad-ass...you know...rock star. |

once i played a set and after my second song i said "you know i accept donations in the form of beer", i played my third song with my eyes closed and when i had finished, voilà, there was a beer on the table next to me
definitely more badass than having a shot glass thrown at my face.

a buddy of mine was playing bass in a punk band. some guy in the crowd apparently didn't like the cut of his jib or something and tried to hock a loogie at his face.
without missing a beat my buddy catches the flying ball of phlegm in his own mouth then spits it back into the guys face. |

Also, if that's true, then I'm pretty sure you have my story beat and your friend is officially rock star as f*ck. Was trying to picture this playing out in my head. Kept getting images of Ace Ventura driving his car with his head out the window while getting shot at, and just catching the bullet between his teeth with an angry expression on his face. >< |

i wasn't there, but i don't have any reason to doubt the handful of friends who've all told me that story about that guy at different times over the years.
plus i have seen him catch very dirty hacky sacks in his mouth on multiple occasions, so he's not exactly against tasting nasty crap haha |

There is only one Rockstar moment that is truely worth mentioning
James Hetfield kicked Dave Mustaine's dog!
