I'm looking forward to
Queens of the Stone Age Red Hot Chili Peppers The Courteeners Arcade Fire MGMT Blink-182 Them Crooked Vultures The Dead Weather The Strokes The Black Keys Twisted Wheel The Drums What about everyone else? |
new Queens of the Stone Age album =D
|
Lets see...
Free the Robots apparently has a new CD coming out sometime in 2010 that I'm totally excited for. Revolutionary Vo. 3 by Immortal Technique is set to drop in January 2010. Nevermore also has a new album coming out which I'm totally looking forward for because they've been one of my favourite metal bands for quite awhile now. I'm sure there's a lot more out there, but those are just the three that I know of immediately when I think of music in 2010. |
I can hardly wait for the new Four Tet album.
|
I'm waiting fror a new album by The Strokes for while now, I've read they were recording this year, and thought they'd release an album in late '09, but it release date is pushed back, maybe 'til next year.
|
Lasers or whatever the name is now by Lupe Fiasco, though I think that might be dropping just before New Years.
|

that and the new Queens album, but they were supposedly recording in the spring, dunno what's taking them so long. =/ |
There's a lot of albums I am looking forward to, but I cannot contain my excitement for the new albums from Genghis Tron and The Dillinger Escape Plan.
|
Besides the ever-elusive second Grinderman album (which initially had an April '09 release date being talked up) and/or David Bowie getting off his arse and into a studio again, or the gazillion-to-one chance we see a new Scott Walker album (rumour has it he's been working on new ideas for a few years now), I'm not exactly losing any sleep over much else.
EDIT - Oh yeah, and with any luck that new Massive Attack album should be quite something. Which reminds me, I still haven't bothered with that EP they did a few months back... |
Arcade Fire's third album is due May 2010. I'm honestly worried. They are bound to start slipping eventually. I just hope it's not with this third album.
|
New Fleet Foxes and The National albums with any luck.

I have the QOTSA album on my list too but removed it for the same reason really, plus I didn't dig the last one too much. |
Looking forward to the new Autolux album, it's been a LONG time coming and i'm getting very impatient.
Also can't wait for the new Arcade Fire album, i think it's due out in April or May. Fingers crossed that it's as good as Funeral and Neon Bible. Looking forward to some tour date announcements as well. I'd love to see a new Boards Of Canada album as well, pretty please... |
madlib is releasing a 12 series set, one-a-month in 2010. consider me intrigued.
|
New Deltron 3030 is coming up!
|
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM
Arcade Fire Avalanches Radiohead ??? Gorillaz ??? Madvillain Pinback Queens of the Stone Age Spoon - may be late this year, not sure. Vampire Weekend - same as spoon Wolf Parade ??? whoa, awesome!!! |
None and I mean that sincerely. 2008 was poor beyond belief unless I want to hear another Electro Pop album or suddenly stop talking about Arctic Monkeys now that they have got a little bit serious on us.
|
New OutKast hopefully.
|
BEACH HOUSE - Teen Dream
It's going to be soooooooo gooood! Gonna blow all your minds... |

I'm looking forward to The Betrayed by Lostprophets
|
RJD2 - The Collosus
Supposed to be coming out in Jan. Pitchfork - "The Colossus will alternate between the sample-based approach of his classic debut Deadringer and the live instrumentation of his more recent stuff." Sounds good to me. |
Yndi Halda supposedly has something in the works... I'd really enjoy that.

Not looking forward to The Arcade Fire's new album but I will pick it up. I have to, Funeral was amazing. @Bulldog- I had no idea Bowie or Cave were putting out new albums... can't flippin' wait for that Grinderman release, I was doing some research and it's supposed to be "more serious" this time. Not sure how I feel about that but I can't wait to be impressed. MGMT is what I am really interested in, I don't like them nearly as much as I used to and haven't spun their album in over six months but I really want to see how they will evolve. It was always my guess they would get better instead of worse, like how The Killers first album showed potential but then they melted into basically bullshit music... we all know they could have done a lot better. In fact read this " The Las Vegas rock act is mulling a covers set, according to NME, which may include thei take on songs from Tom Waits, Genesis and Iggy Pop." How could they do that to other artists work? In any case, MGMT is releasing a 2010 album under the name Congradulations, and was recorded with Pete Kember of Spaceman 3 and Spectrum. Really think they're going to get better as time goes on. |

Phrazes was the biggest disappointment ever River of Breaklights and 11th Dimension were tolerable but ugh |
Sigur Rós! Info from Wikipedia.. who in turn got it from their site:
"..the album is taking form as a slower and more ambient record than both Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust and Takk.." How could I not be excited with info like that |

|
Indeed! Although anything more ambient and less "poppy" than Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust would be great for me
|
Some of the poppier moments on Með Suð í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust were great but the album felt really inconsistant compared to their older stuff.
|
New Grinderman album
|
