Very interesting. Can't wait for those. Especially the Mcfly one.

I absolutely can't wait for the new Queens album, though I don't think it has actually been confirmed for 2010, especially with Josh's recent activity with TCV.

Lostprophets "The Betrayed" is excellent.

I'm a huge Strokes fan as well. Also looking forward to a new Smashing Pumpkins album, though I'm skeptical since Chamberlain left...

I think I would be more excited about this if it were being released as just one big epic splurge, or at least one 4-song EP at a time, instead of the whole "one song a month for almost 4 years" thing that's happening.

The three that have come out so far have been relatively "meh," although "A Stitch in Time" is a pretty good little pop tune and probably the best thing b0lly's recorded in AT LEAST 7 years.

QOTSA or TCV album would please me, so either or.

Gonna listen to The Strokes' new album, but they produced one brilliant album and 2 shite/mediocre albums.. so I'm not expecting much.

If it's anything like their last one (well two if you include the TCV album) Josh can go back inside until he realizes why Queens were so special in the first place.

Seriously the guy plays guitar like a motherfucker, I want to hear some more dirty minor pentatonic riffs come out of that thing before he starts playing dull arena rock again.

What about Scumbag Blues? 3's and 7's? Turnin' on the Screw? Mind Eraser?

I admit that neither album is his best, but I wouldn't complain if the next Queens album is more Era and less Deaf.

Maybe it's the new cast that's been there the past few years, but the new material is starting to get stale. It's pretty obvious that the last few years lack the heavy bass & overdubbed chunky riffs that characterize Kyuss and early Queens. The overt focus on production is nagging my skull a bit too.

New bassist is shit and if he doesn't get someone to fill the lineup out (remember, these are jam-based songs) there's nothing stopping this being EV II. Although Josh did mention this being an album he wanted to record live (like all Kyuss records were), maybe that'll have some substantial impact on actually being able to hearing a fucking groove.

I always thought kicking out Nick Oliveri was the worst decision Josh Homme could have ever made. He does some interesting guitar work, but it was he and Nick that made it Queens, not just Josh. I could never really get into their music after Songs for the Deaf.
