Default Band members quitting during concerts

One of the more spectacular ways that a band member can leave is to walk off in the middle of a concert. One of the original guitarists of the Spin Doctors, Eric Schenkman, left the band in September 1994, by walking offstage during a concert in Berkeley, California citing musical/personal differences, and being weary of the road.

Have fellow MusicBanter forum members any other examples of a band member quitting during a concert?

I'm sure it's happened in Oasis but I don't pay enough attention to them to state that as fact.

I've never had it happen to me, but I think it would be upsetting to go see a band expecting a show with all the members intact and not getting to see what you bargained for. But on the other hand, if you were a major fan of a certain band, it would be some serious bragging rights to say that you saw the concert where so and so walked off stage and quit.

Here's The Fall's infamous meltdown in New York in 1998

Oh man this cracks me up every time, I'm sure a lot of members weren't with the band after this little debacle.

Well I'm sure everyone's seen the entire crew of Nickelback leave after having rocks thrown at them.

(That's how every show ends on their tours probably)

That was weak. He should've handled it like Axl.

I know that the guitarist from Dave Grohl's old band Scream left during a tour.

Haha

Sorta reminds me of a show I was at a show quite a few years ago, where a punk band named Sugarcult somehow was opening for some metal groups...and people were boo'ing and ****. Anyway, someone chucked a shot glass at the singers face and he stumbled backstage covering his face, while the guitar player cussed out the crowd for 30 seconds or so. Then the singer came back out and told them to keep f*cking playing, and he finished the set with blood running down his face. ><
Wasn't a big fan of theirs, but had to admire his guts.
