Default Music Video Download Sites

Howdy,

Just wondering if y'all know of a website or websites that support music video downloads. I'm willing to pay for these, but I'm having a hard time finding sites like this........Seems strange as you can watch them all over the place, but can't seem to find anywhere that allows pay per download or something similar. Tried MTV, Yahoo etc. with no luck.....Some of the old and new MV's are really cool and I'd like to be able to download some high quality videos and make a music DVD for parties etc. Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Max

If you use Firefox, there's an addon called DownloadHelper which allows you to download any embedded video or song on any website.
You simply install the addon, then browse to a site and begin watching the video, then the icon will activate on the toolbar and you right click it and select "download".
The video will be downloaded (usually as a .flv file, "flash video") and you can watch it with any media player that has the .flv codec, like VLC media player. You can also convert the .flv to any other type of video file using free video converters found all over the net.

Just remember that when you download the embedded video, it's going to download at the same quality you see, so try to find good quality music videos to download.

Thanks Freebase, any thoughts on sites with the best quality? I know some are fairly grainy and don't know if any are in Dolby 5.1 or better.

cheers,
Max

Not sure, but I'm sure some Googling would turn up plenty of leads.
Youtube has some good HD videos of high quality that may be worth checking out as well.

Good luck.
