Fuck hour-and-a-half-long albums, seriously. As much as I enjoy TMV's past work, I get tired after a while. The length of this one is perfect...whether it's a soft album or an intense one.

Totally...and like I said before I like this album and it's a nice change, but hope the next one is a bit more intense and/or experimental, and not softer. And the same length.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

So you had higher expectations, she let you down?

I know I should delete advertisements in signatures on sight but I think I and the forum as a whole need this question answered.

Is your life really so terrible you're reduced to joining music forums with the sole intention of flogging acne cream?

I mean really?

This sums it up perfectly for me. I can't listen to that all that much, but it's really a very interesting album. I definitely didn't think it was bad.

And Stu, I can't believe you didn't like Farm Oh well, at least there's still plenty DJ to pick from! (if you like them)

The new mewithoutyou was horrible. I don't know what happened, but they used to be so good and this just wasn't worthy of having their name on it. It made me sad.

I know everyone disagrees with me about this one, but I was really disappointed with Doom as well. It just didn't live up to his older works released under the MF DOOM name...

I liked Octahedron when it was released, but as time has passed, I've grown to dislike it. It doesn't have a whole lot of flow to it, and doesn't really have any standout tracks when compared to their previous work.

Although Born Like This really isn't Doom at his finest, I still think it's a pretty decent album. Dope is dope.

It was pretty much a given, but Cursive's Mama, I'm Swollen get's my vote. They haven't exactly been at the top of their game since Happy Hollow.

To be honest i wasn't really disappointed with any new releases this year, some were even better than my expectations. Overall it's been a very good year. The only album that came close to disappointing was Mastodon's Crack The Skye. Although it's a great album it just doesn't seem to hold up to repeated listening like their other albums.

I couldn't agree more, this was the biggest disappointment of the decade for me.

Aside from DOOM, Kidcrash's "Snacks"/new material really didn't impress me at all. I hated it. Same goes for Loma Prieta's "Dark Mountain" EP.
