When I get up in the morning, when I have to do repetitive stuff on the computer at work, in my car, and late night are the ideal times I guess. Anytime I walk anywhere I need music playing.

And my car has a ****ty stereo system, but I have to deal with that or not listen to any music while I drive

It's better than my laptop or normal desktop speakers. The problem is with the mid-range speakers (the squawkers), well I don't think there is any - I think that's the case with all small cars.
I guess they would've been considered good, if I wasn't getting a bit of an audiophile myself.

Music's good for me any time really except when I'm out and about. Otherwise, I'm listening to something or another pretty much constantly.

I'd have to say the best time to listen to music for myself would be walking in a rainstorm listening to Saving Us - Serj Tankian... The wind picks up when the chorus hits and a chill goes through you body, one of those memorable moments...

though i never really stop listening to music, i'd say my favorite time is the journey to and from work. takes about an hour, and it's a combination of subway, tram, and walking. lately i've been keeping up such a steady stream of new music that i can listen to a new album each trip - that's two new albums a day i get to focus on 100%. it's bliss

All about the post-work chill I reckon in the evening.

Trip to and from Uni is none too shabby either.

Really need to buy a Car CD player with and aux.

It's been ages since I "worked on assignments" but, like Jackhammer, I like to put on something ambient or at least instrumental while I'm reading. Anything with vocals is definitely too distracting.

But for the past 3 years, I've lived so close to work that my commute allowed for 2-3 songs per trip when I did have a car, and now I don't even have one. I get to listen to music when I walk or bus to work, but it's different. Nice too, but different.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Last year, after having busted out my car, and after the stop of the car drive ME-time for a whole month, I got so paranoid I thought all my friends were plotting against me.
I then went through 2 months of total loneliness and depression. There was just no time or place to get rid of all the stress.
I try to drive more carefully now. Message learned.
