I anti most types of music. Pop, (American) Country Music, Heavy Metal and Rap has become less about music and more about a formulaic corporate product. I think of Pop as being Michael Jackson, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Shakira and so I definitely feel anti-Pop. I can't imagine someone who likes that Lady Ga Ga would talk about British Sea Power or The Kooks.
since most of the bands I like from The Beatles to The Jam & The Smiths were once big on the charts, and more recent bands like Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, & the Killers on the charts now I guess someone could argue taste in music was Pop because my bands were/are on the charts. Since Pop is umbrella term for all kind of music that is popular at the time, I can't say I am anti-pop, I guess I more anti-Metal.

in this era i don't think anyone could be anti-pop. anti-top 40? easily. but there's way too much music which explores pop melodies without ever actually getting played over the radio. in full confidence i don't think i could ever endorse a spiteful view when some of my favorite artists are pop musicians: David Bowie, Stereolab, Jesus and Mary Chain, XTC, The Church, etc.

Anti-Pop and Pro-metal. I don't mind rock at all, infact I actually like a lot of it. But Hip-hop and rap I think is 0.00001% talent and the rest is split between appearance, lyrical content, and ability to use a computer to produce stupid repetitive beats. Any human being can physically rap, but the vast majority of people in the world can't scream, growl, or pig squeal as is necessary in death metal. So death metal takes a lot more skill to do in every way.

I like good pop, and I also like good metal. =D
If anything, I'm pretty much anti-rap, but I can basically get into just about any other type of music with some exceptions of course.
