independent artists, do you advertise?

Im sure theres plenty of indepent artists/producers/bands/labels here, do any of you do advertising for your releases? any advise on how/where etc appreciated. Cheers

I've actually given up on myspace. I never promoted much on their because the majority of people (including myself) are spammed so excessively that I never click on links.

I have my own blog so I put stuff on there
