I've gotta go get that Tortoise cd. The last thing I bought by them was A Lazarus Taxon...really good stuff..Moon Safari is perfect chillin' music. I'll have to give Esthero a listen..

That reminds me...everyone should try sleeping to Skinny Puppy's Last Rights for some nice hallucinations.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

not familiar with that boxed set but i'm curious now. the only thing i really recognized from the list would have been the material on the dvd.

how's the rest of the stuff? is it comparable to the originals (if you know any) or are the remixes pretty substantial?

The Last Broadcast by Doves is a nice piece of Oasis-like guitar rock over weird noises that can be very soothing. In fact, it's the last album I listened to sleep.

I almost can't sleep with music playing lest I am REALLY tired (Probably because I have enough trouble sleeping as it is, I don't need any other mental stilmulation) though I will still add a few.

Ambient/Contemporary Classical
Saddleback - Night Maps (Some may still have one of his songs from one of the compilations)
Max Richter - Memoryhouse
Nice to see Bersarin Quartett mentioned.

Hip-Hop
Blockhead - Music By Cavelight
Glen Porter - Blssed By A Young Death
Nujabes - Metaphorical Music/Modal Soul

Electronic
Burial - Burial
Jacaszek - Treny
Kashiwa Daisuke - Program Music I
Shulman
Ulrich Schnauss

Jazz
Bohren & Der Club of Gore
Dale Cooper Quartet and the Dictaphones
The Necks

Just off the top of my head...
