I happened upon this video for the hip-hop group DMC's song, "It's Like That," featuring old footage of Russian folkdancing soldiers, and the video fascinates me. I love the soldiers' dancing and playful bravado, which I didn't expect from the military of a formerly Communist regime.

The dancing and the song sometimes almost seem to play off each other, making both more interesting to me. And I agree with this comment made by one viewer of the YouTube video: "Proof that if west had a breakdance war with Russia, we would lose." So true! Those Russian soldiers rock!
