I could agree with Simple Plan or Nickelback. Both of those bands are just flat out bad. Literally. Unfortunately, both from Canada. But hey, what can ya do. I can't imagine them influencing anybody, and the people who may be so unlucky as to be influenced by them are just going to create bad music anyways, so what's the point? A complete waste of time.

Not particularly, no. Granted the last song is more of a ballad so it sounds different from the other three but they already had a wildly popular ballad under their belt long before American Idiot came out.

That 21 guns song is hella polished too. Much more so than any of the others. I don't like to use the term "overproduced" but...
