Converting Music from WMP to MP3

I want to post my own music on my page but I need to convert it from windows media player to an mp3 so I can then upload it on a file share hosting site. Is there a good software I can use for free or not too expensive?

Since no one else is going to say it, wmp is not the Windows Media Player file format; I don't think .wmp is a file extension for any program. Look for wma to mp3... I bet it'll be a lot easier to find.
