if you regard Latin at some point in your life instead of i don't know, arguing all the time.....you may find the distinguished similarities between it and many languages, many languages have derived from latin. In a similar way that "Chav" has derived from English.

How about I do my job as a mod on this site and comb through threads full of repetitive drivel? Come to think of it, this thread is begining to fit that description, I would love to close it right now, but the begining pages brought up some great discussion, and I'd rather have this thread go back to having some sort of substance than just close it like hundreds of other pointless threads before it.

Yeah, like French, Spanish, Portugese etc, they derived from Latin, whereas English derived from the Germanic languages of the peoples who were never conquered by the Roman Empire, those who were known as Angles, and later by Saxons. Throw in a bit of Scandinavian and you're laughing. Until the Norman conquest, when they added a little Franco-Scandinavian in and confused everyone for 200 years.
