downtempo, dubstep, hip-hop (had taken a step away from it for like a year, but discovering a lot of great stuff/old stuff I used to listen to), deep house, d'n'b, breakbeat, minimal techno, garage, "wonky" as they call it - it's more like experimental/leftfield hip hop

For the past few months i've been listening to 90's Indie Rock almost excusively, im trying to reindroduce a more eclectic range back into my listening.

ruth, there is a potential problem with your study though Asking here might be a good way to get answers, but what sort of people is it you want to ask? That might be something you wanna ask yourself before you start. The people here and their tastes my not reflect that of the general public in the area you come from. Our community makeup is not random either, it's mostly teenagers and people in their early 20s who are perhaps likely to be more explorative and diverse with our interest in music than the average person in your community.

I'm guessing it's not that important in your study (I guess you're not exactly doing science), but it's good to at least be aware of
Ha that's what I was going to say. So I gave her pretty much the most basic summary of my tastes.

Essentially, a lot of 80s and 90s indie rock and alternative stuff, experimental/psychedelic pop, lo-fi rock stuff like Vivian Girls and Summer Cats, noise pop/rock, underground hip-hop. That's what I listen to most often I'd say, there's a lot of other music I like but don't get around to as much as I'd like.
