I'd start with "cell-scape".

You my friend need some Smalls action going on. Fast paced, heavy (but not to the metal degree), and incredible musicianship from all the members of a band, not just the guitarist or singer. Here's a few of their tracks, if you're interested I can hook you up the an album or two.

Maybe you will like Last Step too, the more Aphex-ish alter-ego of Aaron Funk aka Venetian Snares.

A few electronic albums you should probably check out...
Junkie XL - Today ^ Dunno if it's progressive house or breakbeat that you mean when you say electronic music, but this is quite possibly my favourite such album. Definitely worth a go. If you're after something slower, give this a go; Global Communication - 76:14 ^ Excellent, sort of neo-classical stuff, and it's got me through many an assignment for uni. There's also this one... The Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms ^ It's much more beat-driven and isn't really neo-classical at all. Very atmospheric, dark ambient stuff. If you're a fan of Mezzanine, you should definitely get this. And I recommend this album to just about anyone I can... Amorphous Androgynous - Alice In Ultraland ^ A lot like Lifeforms in mood, but much more neo-psychedelic. If you want any links just shout eh. |

This doesn't sound like what I was looking for in this thread but Mezzanine is one of my favorite albums so I'd love to give this one a listen. |
