You know those songs that have a part of the song that literally makes your hair stand on end? It may be something simple like a verse or certain instrument that just gets you and you don't know why?
First on my list is this. The piano that comes in around 2:45 just blows me away with it's simple elegance.

Isn't this like the "Embarrassingly Bad Parts" thread?
Whatever, I'll bite. I was excited to hear a song like this, because I think every good rock band, especially a band like Killswitch, should have a slow song. And then the song kept going. |

Jackhammer is talking about that part of a certain song that is so perfectly executed that it makes your hair stand on end. It's supposed to be a good thing.
edit: Not trying to be obnoxious; from what she wrote it just looks like she misunderstood the original post. |

YouTube - Dance With The Devil - Immortal Technique
The storyline in this song is deadly. The ending definitely hit hard...

since you started with radiohead i will follow with my hair-raising choice and a favourite from back in 'the day'. They have quite a few in their canon though, hon. menshun: YouTube - Radiohead Go To Sleep
actually i would say the former is a hair-raiser, the latter more of a gut-wrencher (the best part being when the harmonies kick in at 1:57) |

![]() The following verse is absolutely incredible, and delivered perfectly. Always raises my hairs when I hear this one. When I am on a pedestal, You did not raise me there. Your laws do not compel me To kneel grotesque and bare. I myself am the pedestal For this ugly hump at which you stare. |

There are quite a few songs that make my feel this way.
I'll start with this one.
