Also - Let it load and then listen to the string of vocals sung at 8.27 onwards. Always raises my hair! |
This is the first one that came to mind; I always find listening to Lux Aeterna a hair-raising experience. It's all really intense (in a good way), but I guess its peaks are around 2:25, 3:25 and 5 minutes.
And this one's probably a tad cliche, but it gets me every time. :o: Edit: Just thought of another. Good idea for a thread, by the way. |
The part in Teen Age Riot where the pace changes dramatically and the kick-ass riff starts up. It's just so.... good

Speaking of vocals, this one's from my all time favorite band. Starting at 2:14 it builds up a little, then right after 2:26 where the sax blends into the vocals...I just about melt every time I hear it. |
The guitar solo in the last one and a half minutes and the part where he sings " There is no pain, you are receding.'
|
The way the verses are sung is very diabolical and effective.

These are two key chillers for me, The Rolling Stones - Gimmie Shelter at about 0.30 seconds to when Mick Jagger starts singing.
The next one is Judas Priest - Touch of Evil. Basically the whole song makes me want to orgasm, but at 4.08 - 4.45ish when Rob Halford is singing it is goosebump giving! |
When the bowed guitar kicks in the hairs on the back of my neck shoot up, is it wrong to call it a mysterious tune? |
