for all of you music fans who slid, stomped, and splashed through the mud this weekend in Austin, who put on the best performance? who left you wanting more? I only got to go Sunday when Eddie Vedder finished off the weekend with what i thought was the best set, but i thought the arctic monkeys and girl talk contributed great performances as well.

I have a friend who was there, but for me personally nothing except Pearl Jam seemed like it would be worth seeing.

i was skeptical about some of the other bands considering how much younger they all were than the well-established pearl jam. but i had never listened to the arctic monkeys but i will admit seeing them live has made me a fan and now "crying lightning" is one of the go-to songs in my library. the other bands were good at first but lost my interest after the first halves of their sets.

I listened to Favourite Worst Nightmare a while back by Arctic Monkeys on a friend's recommendation, but didn't really enjoy it at all.
