Parents and kid's music
Not sure everyone's age ranges here, but I'm a parent and getting close to 40. Just curious how many parents out there enjoy the same music as their kids. I personally do!
I mean I listen to all sorts of music, but it didn't stop with my generation.. Not that I crave Rap or anything, but there are several Rap songs I like that my son has introduced me to. I work out to Chamillionaire. I love TI.. Even enjoy ICP. Am I weird or are there others out there like me? |

there's nothing wrong with an overlap in tastes. although personally i find it rather cringe worthy when an obviously middle aged person is trying to front on the 'cool' stuff the teenagers are listening to today, and missing the mark horribly (as in the case with ICP).

I gave my mom "The Velvet Underground & Nico", "Village Green Preservation Society" and "Loveless" in hopes that I could steer her away from today's tripe that kids are into. It's weird really, a parent should be doing the exact opposite.
