Darren Styles has my vote everything he makes has the same back beat and with a few of his songs nearly the lyrics are the same, this sort of hardcore dance ruins trance and house, just makes me people think this is all what is to come from those sub-genres. He and others like him will be the death of electronica.

dont get me wrong, i enjoy hardcore, seen darren styles live etc. (seen him at a large hardcore event). hes not my favourite artist, but i wouldnt say he was the worst :(, i think that theres much worse artists out there.

edit: akon for example... "sexy chick" makes me sick.

See that's not really fair putting both of them up there. I respect the fact that a lot of people think Bono is an ass, but he has definitely made good music (or at least important music). If you don't believe me listen to Bad from The Unforgettable Fire, oh my god what a song.

But that woman is just an evil bitch, whoring out somebody that without her influence would still be respected today. Serious shame.

Who cares? The problems I have with him, and that I think most people who have problems with him have are his massive selling out effort that was All that You Can't Leave Behind and his Christianity-forced-down-your-throat nature of songwriting.

Before he became such an ass, he made respectable music too. Late Registration is such a good album, seriously. I used to have that inherent bias too, but just because his newer, more accessible music is played on the radio doesn't mean that everything he did was trash. Same story with M.I.A., except I like Kala too.

If you like M.I.A., check out her album Arular. It's such a much better album than Kala, and the songs are way more world music-y. Really good stuff.

Yes it sure is. Can't stand anything they've done since '94 though. Except that song with Brian Eno and Pavarotti "Ms. Sarajevo". That's also a great song.
