yeah, never got round to hearing that one. the album with the stop sign on it had some decent tracks as well
well, he is a prat but i think he knows the score, that's why he's on the attack, although the temperamental genius think doesnt quite wash for various reasons.... plus his last album of drones would make karen O melt like the wicked witch of the west |

The most annoying person in music? it's us, the fans. We take artist's ideas then shamefully horde them to ourselves. We create sub culture after sub culture with almost nothing differentiating one from the other. We take artists' emotions and ideas and make them ourselves, then we find ways to physically manifest these through fashion until the artist looks back in contempt at what they've started. We have to put a label and definition on everything until the original idea is so convoluted you can't tell what it is anymore. We make music such an intricate part of our lives that we look down upon people with less knowledge and harass and berate them. We're all guilty of everything I've said, we both the bane and the spine of music as contradictory as that sounds it's true. We are the worst thing to happen to music.

and it's difficult to have pity for the majority of those in the public arena, when they have a bigger audience than most politicians and all they can talk about is fucking and endorsing products. Or Live 8. they spent years clamouring for fame/record sales/acclaim, now they have it, that doesn't make us bad people does it? as for all the sub cultures and trends i blame the so-called tastemakers for that, you need an intermediary but if i was a pop critic i'd question the meaning of my existence daily... the fans you are talking about Pete are all by-products of a dumbing down in broadcasting and a culture of spectatorship, we are the ones being taken for a ride and that's why internet piracy rules (except for torrents, say no to torrents) edit: i dont mean to sound arrogant, this is just my worthless opinion. the fans are bringing it all down really Last edited by Molecules; 10-04-2009 at 01:06 PM. |

Holy crap.
At least have the dignity to spell her name right. You're becoming a real pain and you've only posted 14 times. So WHAT? Little girls want to be like Miley Cyrus? At least those girls aren't going around dressing like Britney Spears anymore. Miley Cyrus is a better role model than MOST pop singers out there. |
