I've got a really embarrassing list, as rare are the good bands that come here. [I go more to pubs or theaters for experimental underground music]

-James Blunt [had free backstage tickets] (feb 2009)
-Emir Kusturica & The No smoking Band (Aug 2009)

Hope my next year will be a bit better.

You're from Lebanon right? I guess I can count my blessings for living in Croatia.

NumberNineDream 09-21-2009 09:08 AM

^ lol yeah, you really should. It's good if you love to watch constant concerts by Tiesto, David Guetta, Armin Van Buren, Pussycat Dolls, Akon and Snoop Dog.

Tho this summer there was a concert by Deep Purple and another by Jethro Tull, but didn't have enough money.

Is Lebanon a bit of an exception as far as Middle Eastern countries are concerned? I have a hard time thinking the Pussycat dolls would do a show in Jordan or Syria...:\

^Our local female singers are a bit like frustrated tone-deaf porn stars, a bit of a sexual relief to the surrounding countries. That's why the Arab world doesn't care anymore about "good" music, some things are more important at that moment.

Here's one for you:

They don't never sing live, they alway lip-sync. What's even worse is that this singer is going to participate in the tribute for Michael Jackson, in Vienna.

adidasss 09-21-2009 10:23 AM

Is it wrong that I kinda enjoyed that?

Janszoon 09-21-2009 10:33 AM

I saw Dave Matthews Band this past Saturday. I'm kind of neutral about these guys. I don't hate them like a lot of people do but I'm not really what you'd call a fan either. My wife likes them though so I took her for her birthday and holy shit was it a boring concert! It's hard to pinpoint exactly what made it so dull but it was seriously difficult to sit through.
