Are they DJs? I've seen quite a few DJs in my time, I was into dance music almost exclusively from 99-2002. I should try compiling a list.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I'm kind of like you...don't hate them but don't find them interesting enough to be a fan. I did like their album Under the Table and Dreaming in high school, mainly because some of my friends were really into it and I have memories attached to it. I really don't like any of the singles I've heard since that album. Really boring stuff. Anyway I saw them live in the mid 90s, think it was the "Crash" tour (I hate that song) and it was cool because it was outdoors, weather was great, and I was in good company. Didn't pay much attention to the music. Same as when I saw Phish...same venue, same friends, same great weather. The music was a bit more enjoyable though, but still not my thing.

Yeah, this was outside and we had some nice weather too but the venue was one of those big stadium kind of places with a big area of lawn seating and I'm definitely not a fan of that kind of venue—the band's always too far away.

Try to enjoy it for 10 years. Nothing evolved since 2000. I became hopeless in 2005, I stopped listening to any local radio or TV channel ever since.

Yeah if I want to enjoy the band, it's a shitty venue (I saw Tool there...basically heard them through the speakers in the lawn ). But if I don't care about the band, it's great!

I could see it being okay with less people but this show was packed. And man was it packed with the lamest crowd. If I learned one thing that night it's that DMB fans cannot hold their liquor. I've been to a lot of shows in my life but I've never seen so many people puking and/or being carried out by their friends. Seriously, it was ridiculous.

Yeah the Abercrombie crowd. This venue has a big grass hill and we were near the top. There was a big crowd overall but it didn't feel crowded at all near the top.

Heh. I think the Abercrombie crowd is a good name for them. It's funny, because I get the impression that they think of themselves as wild and crazy party machines but they are so totally not at all.
