"God Loves America" by Swans is one of most bitter, angry songs I've ever heard in my life but also a fantastic acoustic song that I don't think too many people are familiar with.

I would honestly like him A LOT more if he would still do music like this.
partially agree, i like his playing more when he doesn't rely on drowning it in effects, it has a more jazzy feel and i think that's something he should utilize more.

by the way, is that on any album?

This was the only video I could find with the full song, seeing it live is pretty impressive.

I didn't even know about this until just now. Released only as recorded by Lagwagon, but originally recorded by (and unreleased) by Bad Astronaut.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

The album version is a bit more chaotic but, if anyone knows how to bring out middle eastern influences through an acoustic it's Sir Richar Bishop.

This is nothing short of brilliant.

I have an album full of The Cure going acoustic and although the song doesn't really drift from the original, I still love the elegant simplicity. It was also the wedding song when I was best man at my friends wedding:
