Soft Cell had a string of really great songs in the 1980s - my favourite of theirs is Torch, but I can understand why not everyone would like it...

I'm more of a '90s Alternative kind of guy (in fact I turned 13 in 1990 and that is really when I started listening to music, like as a teen and stuff). However here are some tunes from the '80s I do like and vaguely remember from that era:

I was a little too young to have heard of the Smiths when they were together, but I certainly remember Moz as a solo singer and he is one of my faves!



Jesus and Mary Chain? I remember them being really popular back then and I always wondered what the heck the name meant, it sort of stuck out.
