I don't think they sound anything alike but i've not really heard much of The Microphones stuff.
Old Time Relijun are much more abrasive & there's a huge Beefheart influence.

ANY genre? Replies to this post result in little more than opinion if you're including all genres.
My opinion: The Shins or Death Cab for Cutie or White Stripes or something, but that leaves out a bunch of goodies. |
