If you're not a fan why put them in your list. This is your opinion of the best band.

The last 10 years... for me some of my personal favourites would have to be Karnivool or Cog. Also honorable mentions to The Cat Empire and Fat Freddy's Drop. These are just some of my choices.

Might have too many choices. If neccesary, it could be done round-robin.

Probably Coldplay, I'm not really a big fan, like some of their stuff but it doesn't really do it for me but no one can deny their success. In terms of what I'd like, last 10 years? I'd be inclined to go for Muse, if Kasabian keep on doing what they've been doing they might get a mention. Arctic Monkeys as well..

The White Stripes for me due to pure consistency. Runners up would be Mclusky/Andrew Falkous in general.

I don't know about who's the most skilled or the most original or whatever, but as far as the one band that I enjoy the most in the past ten years Underoath springs to mind. Although technically they formed in '98, but Acts of Depression came out in '99. Amazing how their sound evolved from pretty much death metal to what it is today. I have to say I like the Spencer Chamberlain stuff better, with Define the Great Line being my favorite, but the Dallas Taylor era stuff is starting to grow on me.

Speaking of Dallas Taylor, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster would be another one of the greats from the past 10 years. Pretty unique band/sound IMO.

The Break Mission, The Pernice Brothers, Silverstein, and All That Remains are other all time favorites.

I think I'll have to go with Liars on this one. First they pulled me in by releasing an album that sounded like everything that Gang of Four should've done but didn't after Entertainment. Then they proceeded to floor me with a series of releases that sound both old and new at once and all sound very different from each other while somehow still also sounding like a cohesive whole. Fantastic band.

Gojira are one of the few Metal bands to have their own unique sound and be as heavy as hell, technically brilliant and completely eschew the whole metalcore sound.

Fat Freddy's Drop make some of the most sensual and groovy music I have heard in a long while. They also have the musical chops to match.

It's a pity that Pig Destroyer miss out by just 2 years. That band is frigging awesome.
