Thank you for posting that! I have a whole list of beautiful orchestral pieces I could put up here (being a music student and all). Don't worry I'm only going to post a few!

Mendelssohn - A Midsummer Night's Dream, Op. 61: IX. Wedding March. I've played this piece many, many times on piano for weddings but it doesn't beat the arrangement for a symphony.

J. S. Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G Major: I. Allegro

Pachelbel - Canon in D Major

J. S. Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for Organ

Handel - The Messiah, HWV 56: Hallelujah Chorus

And my absolute favourite piece ever:

Barber - Adagio for Strings

Enjoy!

Here are some funny names (/typos) from your list

I wouldn't normally nitpick on such lists, but it's not often I see such blatant in-my-face e-peen stroking around here. I think you have every band mentioned on MB over the last 6 months up there.

There's a lot of stupid mentions too. In a thread about the greatest music ever composed, why would you mention stuff like G.G. Allin and Gregorian Chant? The first is a guy who rolled around in his own feces on stage and once got sent to a hospital because he was severly beaten by his own audience. He was absolute crap. The other is the most embarassing set of cover ****e ever produced on the face of the earth, even beating poor people from chile honkin' out Celine Dione songs on panflute or 40 year old virgins living in their mother's basement, playing dungeons & dragons every tuesday night.

I mean, "monks" singing cover versions of hits such as "smells like teen spirit" .. how much worse does it get?

You also left Blur off of that list. Come on, if the list contains Kings Of Leon then surely Blur are good enough to get on there.

You know you were in for a bumpy ride when you noticed he left out the "/" in AC/DC. I don't think he listed them all though, I'm pretty sure somebody mentioned The Artic Monkeys & Coldplay in the last six months - it's a wild guess but I'm pretty sure about it.

He left out a bunch of people. To be fair he said "Genre wise it's pretty much everything under the sun." He never made a promise to list every band under the sun, even though it looks like he attempted such a feat.
