I know the two Sonic Youth songs so I choose 'The Sprawl'. I've heard of all of the other bands except for The 13th Floor Elevators.

The White Stripes - 'Why Can't You Be Nicer To Me?'
Dinosaur Jr. - 'Ocean in the Way'
Nirvana - 'Negative Creep'
The Black Keys - 'Your Touch'
Red Hot Chili Peppers - 'Aeroplane'
Fugazi - 'Suggestion'
Primus - 'Natural Joe'
Big Black - 'Strange Things'
System of a Down - '36'
Incubus - 'Nice To Know You'

Great shuffle. 'Aeroplane' is one of my favorite songs of all-time so easy choice...

^If you have to go with latter-day RHCP "Aeroplane" is definitely the choicest cut! Love the Primus and Big Black as well.

As for my list, it's from my whole iTunes library so it's pretty random selection:

Alien Sex Fiend—"Stress"
Old Man Gloom—"Close Your Eyes, Roll Back Into Your Head"
Chemical Brothers—"Setting Sun"
The Beatconductor—"Chops and Thangs"
The Church—"Sealine"
Man Man—"Whalebones"
ohGr—"Lusid"
Skream—"Tapped"
Butthole Surfers—"Lonesome Bulldog II"
Corrosion of Conformity—"Albatross"

That is exactly how I view it. I hold One Hot Minute in decent regard almost solely for 'Aeroplane', 'Pea', and 'Coffee Shop'...

same, Aeroplane is definately a great song by them, regardless of when they made it.

Well, Butthole Surfers are pretty awesome. The rest I'm not really familiar with unfortunately.

Pavement- Loretta's Scars
Desmond Dekker- Israelites
Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington- In A Mellow Tone
David Bowie- Rick 'n' Roll Suicide
James Brown- Papa's Got a Brand New Bag
Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb
Marlene Dietrich- Lola
Bobby Paris- Pers-o-nally
Van Morrison- Moonshine Whiskey
Grateful Dead- Estimated Prophet

an ok shuffle I guess...

Yes yes to Surfer Blood! Great tune.

Boards of Canada - 'Down Chorus'
Fishbone - 'Death March'
Kings of Leon - 'Spiral Staircase'
311 - 'Don't Stay Home'
Gorillaz - 'Demon Days'
Les Claypool's Frog Brigade - 'David Mackalaster'
The Thermals - 'Back to the Sea'
Titus Andronicus - 'No Future Part Two: The Day After No Future'
Dispatch - 'Two Coins'
The Mars Volta - 'El Ciervo Vulnerado'

I have to admit to not listening to all of these songs before. It is a much more random spattering than my last shuffle, so my pick isn't necessarily one of my favorites...
