Also I love the Black Crowes and Incubus is pretty good. I dont think I know the others just yet though. Stevie Ray Vaughan - Riviera Paradise Lynyrd Skynyrd - The Ballad Of Curtis Lowe Blind Melon - Soak The Sin Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter Santana - Europa The Doors - Five To One Sublime - Wrong Way Primus - John The Fisherman Alice In Chains - No Excuses Aerosmith - Walk This Way Pretty classic rock heavy roll, but a good one. I gotta go with a Primus classic for my favorite.

Sure...I have it on a compilation CD called "Pure Blues"...lots of good stuff on there from the Allman Brothers, BB King, Buddy Guy, Double Trouble, and Eric Clapton among others. I can up it for you and send a link if your interested.

I'm familiar with a few songs by all the above - except Alice in Chains - yet am not familiar with any of the individual songs.....wait actually, I know that Sublime song. It's good. Anyways, here's mah liszt: 1. Captain Beefheart & the Mgic Bnd – Dachau Blues – great vocals and some fun, weird instrumentation which mixes nicely with the grim lyrics 2. Carpathian Forest – Third Attempt – black ‘n roll. 3. Assuck – Reversing Denial – good song, great band. Well worth the 50 seconds. 4. Onslaught – System – great song from an underated group…. metal influenced 80’s hardcore with a rhythm as unrelenting as a zerg rush. 5. The Pogues – Wild Cats of Kilkenny – a neat instrumental. 6. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone – Young Sheilds – some synth based, hipster music that I quite like 7. Corrosion of Conformity – College Town –yall liek COC? 8. Mercyful Fate – To One Far Away – ALL HAIL THE KING! A weird interlude, with some typically fantastic riffs and weird vocals. 9. Carnivore – Technophobia – a hardcore song about the awesomeness of Nuclear energy. While the Type-O-Negative relation may disturb some, Carnivore are quality… just not on this particular track. 10. Anal Thunder – Junk – a band that tries to do old school punk with a melodic and an overproduced edge. I got this album solely because it had "ANAL" in the band name. |

I honestly haven't listened to any of that, seems like a lot of hardcore, which isn't my style at all.
Rogue Wave- Sewn Up St. Vincent- Just the Same but Brand New Gomez- Charley Patton Songs Zee Avi- Honey Bee Hurray For the Riff-Raff- Bricks The Music Tapes- Nimbus Stratus Cirrus (Mr. Piano's Majestic Haircut) Belle and Sebastian- For the Price of A Cup of Tea Elliott Smith- Punch and Judy The Vivs- Falling Off the Wagon Kaki King- 2 O'Clock A lot of good stuff, I really couldn't decide on a favorite, so I bolded my favorite song title.

Charlemagne, can't say I'm familiar with any of those except for Elliot Smith, and even what I know by him I've barely listened to. He's still pretty cool though.

You haven't been skipped this time.
Not a fan of The Eagles but that song In a New York Minute puts a smile on my face. Neil Young & Crazy Horse are great. I haven't heard anything I like by Alanis Morissette. I enjoy some Green Day although I haven't listened to them in quite a long time. Queen, Johnny Thunders, and ZZ Top aren't bad but I don't listen to them very often. I never gave a Ben Folds album a good listen. Haven't heard of Son House. I saw Plastic Ono Band on Jimmy Fallon and they were awesome. Aside from the album I have at my house I've been meaning to download something by them. Best Friends Forever - Tour Magic Elliott Smith - See You Later Sunny Day Real Estate - One Andrew Jackson Jihad - Darkest Heart Theoretical Girls - Chicita Bonita (2nd Version) Coheed & Cambria - Cuts Marked In The March Of Men Paul Revere & The Raiders - Melody for an Unknown Girl My Bloody Valentine - Come in Alone Sonic Youth - Sweet Shine Joy Division - Digital One of my favorite AJJ songs and a classic Joy Division one. |
