So great to see a track from Oscar's Night Train here, dollarsandcents. He's always been my favorite jazz pianist - so soulful, and he could swing at any speed, as though he were strumming a guitar.
Todd Rundgren - Marlene Beatles - I’m Only Sleeping Neutral Milk Hotel - Song Against Sex Colin Blunstone - Smokey Day Bob Dylan - Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues (Bootleg Series, Vol. 4: Live, 1966) High Llamas - Something About Paper Bob Dylan - New Morning Syd Barrett - Opel Lindsey Buckingham - Bwana The Superimposers - Would It Be Impossible |

That's a great Beatles track from revolver. I very much enjoy Neutral Milk Hotel, Bob Dylan, and Syd Barrett. Sadly those are the only ones from the list I've heard.

Bon Iver - Babys Mount Eerie - The Hidden Stone Cutting Pink with Knives - Paper Cuts In Candy Floss Florence + The Machine - Kiss with a Fist Sun Ra - Yera of the Sun Black Mold - Chopped Veggies |

aside from having one of Hendrix's best in the mix
either way it's time for another one of my lists. 1 - The Abyssians - Reason Time - most excellent old school raggae, the album borders on preachy at times but it truly captures the real movement of the style as opposed to the baked stereotype. 2 - Primus - Eleven - WOW. i haven't heard this in forever and a day. that intro bass totally sounds like some Rush thing haha 3 - The Doors - Roadhouse Blues - The Doors are one of those bands that i never actively search out to listen to, it just makes it that much more awesome when they come up randomly. hahaha the scatting in the middle is awesome hehe 4 - Trans Am - Surrender to the Night - not a bad track but damn it's a harsh transition from Roadhouse Blues. synths and drum machines only. i like their stuff with real drums better. 5 - Tomahawk - Sir Yes Sir - it's post-Faith No More Patton's Faith No More and it kicks more ass. 6 - Squarepusher - Zombies - no clue where it comes from, couldn't find it on wiki during the time it lasted but it was a great listen for the search. earlier DnB type stuff 7 - Boards of Canada - Hey Saturday Sun - how many more years for another album? 8 - Mr. Bungle - Walking in Circles - quite possibly the most demented high school band ever. 9 - Frank Zappa - Rance Muhammitz - mmmmm Double Cheeseburger. 10 - Man ...or Astroman? - Taco Wagon - this comes about this...' ' close to breaking into a surfed out take on Copa Cabana but doesn't hahaha having to chose the bold is rough. gonna have to go with Primus though the nostalgia and the badassness of the main riff take it. |

^^^ Great pick on Primus. I love Roadhouse Blues, I found a live version like a year ago that was just amazing! Bungle is sick too, I feel as if I should think they suck, but I'm strangley drawn to them.
1. Otherside RHCP 2. Criminally Insane Slayer 3. Magic Toy Missing Meat Puppets 4. Hollywood Babylon Misfits 5. Pokin' Around Mudhoney 6. Flip Your Wig Husker Du 7. Alligator Foxboro Hot Tubs ( Green Day ) 8. The Happening The Pixies 9. R.A.M.O.N.E.S. Ramones obviously 10. Liberty & Justice Agnostic front As with all my lists, mostly bands everyone is familiar with. I think the Husker Du track is a no-brainer as my favorite. And I just got into Mudhoney, people should check 'em out if they haven't already |
