Well, Primus were a quirky and very influential band who had their peak in the 90s and were fronted by Les Claypool, one of the best bass players ever. Charles Mingus was one of the great jazz composers and himself a fantastic bassist. Both are definitely worth checking out.

So I'm not the only one regarding the Killers (U2 is obvious...there are plenty of lovers and haters...I'm mostly indifferent leaning towards dislike).

I've never heard a full album, their singles are enough to make me cringe. They just sound so overproduced from the get-go.
