Kind of a "Look at Me" thread, instead of the learning and eye-opening experience it COULD be.
No, I don't see it that way at all. I don't go checking out every/anything in people's lists for various reasons, one being that I have about 200 gig of music to listen to and of that I only know about thirty percent, so I have plenty to get through. Secondly, it's not like people are providing links, so you have to go looking for each track, and third, I either know nothing about most of the artistes, or know enough to know that I probably wouldn't be into their music.

I see it more as a "guilty secret" or variety thing: what embarrassing tracks have you got on your ipod? Or maybe a way of seeing the sort of music people are into. I definitely don't even think of checking any of this music out, but if I know a band/song/artiste I will mention it.

Rush - Cygnus X1 Book I: The Voyage - (A Farewell to Kings 1977)
White Stripes - Little Cream Soda - (Icky Thump 2007)

Museo Rosenbach (Italian Prog) - Dell'Eterno Ritorno - (Zarathustra 1973)
Acid Mothers Temple - The Creation of the Human Race - (41st Century Splendid Man 2002)
Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run - (Band On the Run 1973)
Scorpions - Still Loving You - (Love at First Sting 1984)
Doug Sahm - Don't Turn Around - (Doug Sahm & Band 1973)
Some good stuff here, I like Pink Floyd, the Chili Peppers, Rush to an extent and The White Stripes. I've been meaning to checkout some Dream Theater and some of McCartney's stuff, cant say I've heard of the others (minus the Scorpions)

Heres mine:
Caribou – Odessa
Cut Copy – Lights & Music
Deerhunter – Fountain Stairs
Wild Nothing – Confirmation
The War On Drugs – I Was There
Women – Untogether
Beirut – Port of Call
Bill Callahan – Riding For the Feeling
Bon Iver – Creature Fear
Marvin Gaye – Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)

Not a bad mix, flowed very well, only thing out of place was the Marvin Gaye song at the end.

Noice, noice, very good list there. Loving Burzum, Jesu, and Ulver. Checked out the Nadja tune, pretty good and sludgy cover, which is an interesting direction to take Slayer . I could only find that Fire + Ice tune as a live version, but it was a pretty nice folk tune, any albums you can recommend by them?

Jandek - May 7, 9:15 A.M.
Butthole Surfers - Weber
The Fall - Octo Realm/Ketamine Sun
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Love Lies
Derek Bailey - M 12
John Zorn - Leviathan (feat. Mike Patton)

John Zorn - Chimney
The Dreamers - Laughing Owl
Venom - Teacher's Pet
Buckethead - Davy Jones Locker

I like this list a lot.

for Fire + Ice i strongly suggest Rûna (very traditional pre-Christian European folk music) and Seasons Of Ice

i suggest picking up that Nadja album.....it's all covers and they are all amazing

The Beatles- Long Long Long
Death Grips- System Blower
Van Der Graaf Generator- Refugees
Zombi- Cosmic Powers
Slayer- War Ensemble
Led Zeppelin- Boogie with Stu
Godflesh- Go Spread Your Wings
Supertramp- Child of Vision
Genesis- In the Cage
Kavinsky feat. Lovefoxxx- Nightcall

Know most of that, apart from Zombi and the last two. As you probably know, I adore Death Grips, but also The Beatles, Godflesh, Supertramp and Led Zep. Good shuffle

Will Sessions – Represent (Intro)
Quakers – There It Is
Fugazi – Bed for the Scraping
Dave Van Ronk – Hesitation Blues
Oasis – Rock 'N' Roll Star
Sugar – Slick
Blockhead – Road Rage Breakdown
Freestyle Fellowship – 120 Seconds
Alan Vega – Too Late
Fantômas – Experiment in Terror

I'd also go with Oasis on this list... its a cool song and haven't really head much of the rest but curious to hear Fantomas. Freestyle Fellowship are sick but 120 seconds is not my fav song. Same with Fugazi and Bed for Scraping.

Listen to my heart- Ramones
Rain King- Counting Crows
Warm Ways- Fleetwood Mac
The Logical Song- Supertramp
After Glow- Foals
Deacon Blues- Steely Dan
Miss World- Hole
Nosferatu Man- Slint
Breathe- Tech N9ne
I'll Never Forget You- Husker Du

Can't go wrong with anything on Aja!

Nice list. I know/like all but Foals/Slint/Hole.

Ramones are usually a good listen. this song is no exception.

Counting Crows are good. Rain King is one of my favorites from them.

Fleetwood Mac is super. Warm Ways is a forgotten gem from their 1975 self-titled album. I love Christine McVie's voice. It shines in this song.

Supertramp . Great song from a great album.

Deacon Blues is awesome.

Hole I can't stand. I am admittedly closed minded towards Courtney, but I just don't like her, and won't support her.

Tech N9ne I'm not a fan of. Great musically and effects and style though, but I shy away from all the gangsta mentality if i can help it.

Husker Du is old school. Not my favorite, but definitely hardcore.

And the 2 unfamiliar ones:

Foals - Afterglow was pretty nice. I think the singer reminded me of the guy from Coldplay, and the music sort of 80ish, but then it picked up a bit and had some unusual sounds before settling back down. Overall a solid B-.

Slint was cool. Different sound, but certainly good. I enjoyed that song and checked out a few more on Youtube. I will be checking out the entire Spiderland disc shortly...

Eric Johnson - Dusty - (Souvenir 2002)
Jenghiz Khan (Belgian Heavy Prog) - Campus B - (Well Cut 1972)
Cracker - Movie Star - (Kerosene Hat 1993)
Fairfield Four - Just One Moment in God's Kingdom - (Don't Let Nobody Turn You Around 1950ish)
Transatlantic -My New World - (SMPTe 2000)
AC/DC - Love Hungry Man - (Highway to Hell 1979)
Egg - Long Piece No.3 - Part 1 - (The Polite Force 1971)
Rolling Stones - Winter - (Goats Head Soup 1973)
Jim & the Applejuice (Chilean Psych) - Joker on a Tree - (Applejuice ????)
Cheap Trick - She's Tight - (One on One 1982)

The "Jim & the Applejuice" album is often claiming to be Pink Floyd and the Beatles, or Robert Wyatt and John Lennon or any number of collaborations.

In fact it is a man by the name of Jim Urriola, and here's a youtube vid of the song...

"bird no prisoner" is another super song if you find yourself enjoying the above song.

Nice, I like Eric Johnson and that Cheap Trick tune. The album Highway to Hell is pretty much unlistenable to me now that I've killed it from overplay when I was 6, 10, and 13. That Jim & the Applejuice does have the sound that you described, but it's really not that appealing IMO.

40 Below Summer - Rejection (Invitation to the Dance)
Death - Open Casket (Leprosy)
Electric Masada - Idalah-Abal (50th Birthday Celebration Volume 4)
Fear Factory - Smasher/Devourer (Obsolete)
Tom Waits - Big In Japan (Mule Variations)
William S. Burroughs - A Thanksgiving Prayer (Dead City Radio)
Sun Ra - Prelude to Stargazers (Mayan Temples)
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Safe As Milk (Strictly Personal)
Fantomas - Book 1: Page 2 (Ameneza Al Mundo)
Milford Graves - Transcriptions (Grand Unification)

I know that the Burroughs piece is from an audiobook but I love that poem so much that I let it slide.
