I like Smashing Pumpkins and Coheed. Metallica and The Doors are alright, and I don't really have an opinion on the rest of that list.

Return to Forever - Sorceress
The Flashbulb - My Life of Loving Ghosts
La Dispute - Andria
Unwound - Scarlette
Mos Def - Brooklyn
My Morning Jacket - Dancefloors
The Shins - Split Needles
Cat Power - You May Know Him
Art Blakey - Moanin' (Alternate Take)
Devin Townsend - Deep Peace

Deadguy - Crazy Eddie (Fixation On A Coworker)

Aphex Twin - Carn Marth
The Flashbulb - Binedump
Joy Wants Eternity - Existence Rust
God is an Astronaut - When Everything Dies

I've heard Fall of troy, Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Aphex twin. Not a fan of either but these bands seem to be very popular and talk of the town.

1. Augustus Pablo- Black Gunn
2. High on Fire- Fertile Green
3. Heresy- Visions of Fear
4. Kyuss- Freedom Run
5. Doom- Feel Good Factor
6. Special Duties- You Are Doing Yourself
7. DRI- Money Stinks
8. Motorhead- Leaving Here
9. Concrete Sox- Modernisation
10. Squeeze- Goodbye Girl

Dont know how Squeeze and Augustus got stuck in here.

Ha, Squeeze is about the only band I know. Not really but close, I know them and Motorhead. Both are good.

I have checked out the others

Augustus Pablo was a refreshing surprise. Pretty decent actually.

High on Fire wasn't my cup of tea, but the fact that it is Matt Pike's band I might check out more of their tunes.

Heresy was kind of funny. It wasn't great to me but for only 34 seconds I can deal with it. It reminded me of a death metal band I saw live back in the early 90s. They would do a 3 minute intro explaining their song, and then the actual song would only be 45 seconds. lol

Kyuss was probably my favorite of the ones I was not familiar with. A pre QotSA is interesting enough, but the song was really good too.

Doom was interesting. I guess a cross between punk and metal? Pretty good musically, but I just can't get behind the cookie monster vocals.

Special Duties I am guessing the whole song title is "You Are Doing Yourself No Good". It was ok. Sounded like straight forward old school punk.

DRI was another 45 second punk song. Not bad. Reminded me of MOD.

Concrete Sox was my favorite of all the punk style bands on the list. They had cool normal punk vocals. Great punk drummer. Pretty solid guitar player. I kind of liked them actually.

Muse - Take a Bow - (Black Holes and Revelations 2006)
Human Instinct (New Zealand Blues Rock) - Black Sally - (Stoned Guitar 1970)
Pat Metheny Group - Trigonometry - (Song X [with Ornette Coleman] 1985)
Black Sabbath - Supertzar - (Sabotage 1975)
Dread Zeppelin - Your Time is Gonna Come - (Un-Led-Ed 1990)
Atilla (Spanish Symphonic Prog) - El Principio del Fin - (Intencion 1976)
Soup Dragons - Everlasting - (Hot Wired 1992)
Yes - The Ancient (Giants under the Sun) - (Tales from Topographic Oceans 1973)
Wes Montgomery - Green Leaves of Summer - (Road Song 1968)
King Crimson - The Talking Drum - (Larks' Tongue in Aspic 1973)

Pretty good breakdown on the songs. I especially liked the cookie monster vocals although he will never be as cookied out as GG.
